Paxinos – William T. Haddock, 79, of 4545 State Route 61, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Danville on September 10, 1943 to the late Lee Austin and Betty Mae (Pallash) Haddock. William was a 1961 graduate of Southern Columbia High School.  He served in the United States Army from 1965 - 1967.

On May 30, 1970 in Shamokin he married, Janet Arbogast, who survives. William worked as a building contractor for Vought’s Construction.  He later went on to work for Zartman Construction, where he retired.  During retirement, William kept busy working at Knoebel’s Amusement Resort.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by a daughter, Pamela Rebuck and her husband, Barry of Paxinos; three sons, Jim Scandle and his wife, Carol of Shamokin, Robert Scandle and his wife, Brenda of Shamokin, and Gary Scandle and his wife, Deneen of Shamokin; grandson, Brett Rebuck; granddaughter, Olivia Rebuck; four grandsons, Jarrod Scandle, Bobby Scandle, Josiah Scandle, and Jake Scandle; three granddaughters, Ashley Petrovich, Deana Bowman, and Jamilee Scandle; a brother, Atwood “Skip” Lee Haddock of DE; four sisters-in-law, Jean Huxta and her husband, Bernie, Diane Clouser and her husband, Carl, Kathy Andreatti, and Phoebe Arbogast; six brothers-in-law, Richard Arbogast and his companion, Anna George, Dennis Arbogast, Don Arbogast and his wife, Ann, Ken Arbogast and his wife, JoAnn, Jeff Arbogast and his wife, Elizabeth, and Ron Lupold; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Scandle; a granddaughter, Brea Scandle; two sisters-in-law, Betty Hile and her husband, Jerry, and Barb Lupold; and three brothers-in-law, Jack Arbogast, Bill Arbogast and his wife, Helen, and Leroy Arbogast (Infant).

FUNERAL NOTICE

William T. Haddock, 79, of 4545 State Route 61, Paxinos – Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:30 am with Pastor Jean Eckrod at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Burial will be held following the service at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
