Elysburg – Thomas J. Kutza, 82, of 379 Montour Road, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home.

Born in Mount Carmel on April 15, 1942 to the late Joseph and Anna (Stanitski) Kuca. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School.

On September 29, 1962 in St. Stans Church in Shamokin he married Herma Ann Wyda, who preceded him in death. He worked for 37 years as a radio announcer for WISL Shamokin.

Thomas was a life member of the Friendship Fire Company, Shamokin, and the Anthracite Fire Company, Mount Carmel.

Thomas is survived by a daughter, Lorena Kutza-Raymond and her husband, Michael of Elysburg; a son, Joseph Kutza of Frackville; a grandson, Tanner Kutza; aunt-in-law, Mary L. Yucha of Shamokin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, Thomas was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank Kutza, Joseph Kutza, Walter Kutza, Carl Kutza, and John Kutza (Infant).

Thomas J. Kutza, 82, Elysburg – Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of family. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
