Susan Protheroe

New Jersey – Susan Protheroe, 73 of 23 Van Cleef Drive, Whitehouse Station, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Born in Reading PA on March 12, 1950 to the late Herbert and Susan (Reed) Protheroe. She

attended Muhlenburg High School until 1965 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin

with a BS in Nursing in 1975. Susan served in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1977. She

worked as a nurse anesthetist until her retirement in 2014.

Susan is survived by a daughter, Erin Piegari and her husband, Jonathan of NJ; two

granddaughters, Laurel Piegari and Olivia Piegari; a grandson, Evan Piegari; and her beloved

dog, Luca. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Richard

Protheroe; and a niece, Grace Protheroe.

Susan Protheroe, 73, of New Jersey – Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
