Sonya M. Wyland

Ranshaw – Sonya M. Wyland, 40, of Ranshaw, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at her residence.

Born in Ashland on September 10, 1983 to Bruce Wyland and Penny Fegley. Sonya attended Shamokin Area Schools. She worked at Cabinet Industries, Danville, and spent summers working at Knoebel’s Grove Amusement Park, Elysburg. She attended Faith Church, Danville.

Sonya was creative, she enjoyed doing nails. She loved working with her hands, making crafts, especially dreamcatchers.

Sonya is survived by a son, Blaise Valenskie of Ranshaw; Father, Bruce Wyland of Ranshaw; Mother, Penny (Fegly) Bagnell and her husband, Brendan Bagnell of Kulpmont; a brother, Bruce Wyland Jr of Ranshaw; maternal grandmother, Lois Clark; Nephew, Bruce III Wyland; two nieces, Brionna, and Alexis Wyland; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins; and her cat, Fluffy. Sonya was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Ruth (Hale) Wyland; maternal grandfather, Stephen Lewis; maternal step-grandfather, John Clark; and many Aunts and Uncles.
