Ruth Ann (Sweet) King

Kulpmont – Ruthann King, 64, of 1443 Scott Street, passed away April 22, 2019 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Hospital.

Born in Wellsville, New York on July 14, 1954, she was the daughter of the late James George and Ruth Grace (Bieser) Carpenter. She attended Cowanesque Valley High School.

On January 5, 2016, in Wellsboro she married William Orr King, Sr. Ruthann was a homemaker and a mother.

Along with her husband, Ruthann is survived by three sons, Gery Sweet of Westfield, Gary Sweet and his wife Megan of Maine, and Geff Sweet of Elysburg; a granddaughter, Harper Sweet; two grandsons, Grahm Sweet and Ruben Sweet; a brother, Kent Carpenter and his wife Marlene; a sister, Candice “Candy” Nybeck; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Doug Carpenter and his wife Elsie.
