Ruth Ann (Carl) Heffner

Coal Township – Ruth Ann Heffner, 60, of 1134 W Montgomery Street, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Shamokin on September 16, 1962 to the late Clayton and Noreen (Snyder) Carl. She attended Shamokin Area High School.

On October 14, 1989 in Shamokin she married, Robert Heffner, who survives. She was a member of Ash Grove United Methodist Church. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping and cookouts.

In addition to her husband, Ruth Ann is survived by a sister, Marie Carl and her companion, Michael Liptok of Shamokin; three brothers, Robert Carl and his wife, Karen of Coal Township, Johnny Carl and his wife, Brenda of Coal Township, and Jason Carl and his fiancé, Donna of Shamokin; a sister-in-law, Pamela Carl; along with her sister they cared for three nieces, Braylin Carl, Caitlyn Hart, Neveah Hart; two nephews; Jason Carl Jr., and Connor Hart; her fur babies, dog, Basil; and two cats, Wiskers, and Shadow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ruth Ann was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Heffner; and a brother, Clayton Carl.
