Robert "Knuck" Wariki

Coal Township – Robert “Knuck” Wariki, 78, of 659 Stevens Street, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Mountain View Manor.

Born in Shamokin on July 20, 1943 he was the son of the late Frank and Esther (Marcavege) Wariki. He attended Shamokin Area High School.

On July 27, 1968 at Seventh Street Methodist Church in Shamokin he married Carol Kline, who survives. He was the fire chief at Coal Township Fire Department. He worked as a delivery driver for Union Beverage. He worked at Millers Oil & Gas. He worked at Jones Hardware. Knuck was a life member of Union Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by two brothers, Stanley Wariki of Shamokin, and Ronald Wariki of Shamokin; three sisters, Nancy Garancosky of Shamokin, Sandra Wariki of Shamokin, and Sally Bogetti and her husband, Michael of Shamokin; a brother-in-law, Robert Kline and his wife, Grazilda of TX; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Bennett.

Robert “Knuck” Wariki, 78, of 659 Stevens Street, Coal Township ­– Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:00 am with Assistant Chaplin Lieutenant Greg R. Adams, officiating at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
