Peter F. Swartz

Coal Township – Peter F. Swartz, 74, formerly of 1315 W Independence Street, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Mountain View Manor

Born in Shamokin on September 6, 1948 he was the son of late Francis and Justine Swartz. He served in the United States Army. He worked at the National Ticket Company.

He was a life member of the St. Francis Home Association, the East End Fire Company, and the Rescue Fire Company.

He was an avid fisher and hunter, a member of the Zerbe Rod and Gun Club Peter could be found there almost every day. He loved shooting clay pigeons and competing in shot gun reloading competitions. He also enjoyed camping and cruising the river on a speedboat.

Peter is survived by two step-daughters, Debra Griffiths and her fiancé, William Reinhardt of Coal Township, and Raelene Sinopoli and her husband, Robert of Kulpmont; step-son, Delmar Roughton of Coal Township; grandson, Tre Griffiths; two granddaughters, Kirsten Sinopoli, and Kourtney Sinopoli; and a great granddaughter, Katherine Griffiths. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his fiancé, Nellie Roughton; and a daughter, Danielle Swartz.

Swartz, 74, of 1315 W Independence Street, Coal Township – Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:30 am at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Road, Annville, PA.
