Nancy Lou (Nye) Mathew

Allentown – Nancy Lou (Nye) Mathew, 87, of 5419 Lamb Terrance, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2022 in her home with her daughter by her side.

Born in April 4, 1935 to John and Grace Nye. She was a seamstress at Schroyers Dress Company.

In Shamokin in 1954 she married Jack W. Mathew, who preceded her in death in 2018. She was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.

Nancy is survived by two sons, Lee Mathew and his wife, Shelia of Indiana, and Jack Mathew and his wife, Debra of MD; a daughter, Brenda Mathew of Allentown; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Nye and Donald Nye; and three sisters, Ruth Yoder, Fay Gruneberg, and Barbara Shingara.

Nancy Lou (Nye) Mathew, 87, of 5419 Lamb Terrace, Allentown –Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
