Lynne (Compello) Schickley

KULPMONT – Lynne Schickley, 65, of 1106 Poplar Street, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, April 22, 2021 with her husband of 44 years by her side.

Born in Coal Township on March 28, 1956, she was the daughter of the late William and Carlynn (Compello). She graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1974.

On March 5, 1977 in St. Stephens Church in Coal Township, she married the love of her life, Paul Schickley, who survives. Together they raised three children. She loved being a mom over anything else, and was also a very proud grandmother. She was also an especially proud aunt to many nieces, and nephews.

She spent much of her days with her grandchildren, and there was nothing she would not do for them, or with them. She enjoyed attending many games of the different sports they played over the years.

She spent many years working at the Kmart in Coal Township, and loved her job there. She remained friends with many of her coworkers long after it shut down.

She was a member of Oaklyn Independent Baptist church for many years, serving several different roles there during her time there.

In addition to her husband, Lynne is survived by a son, Andrew Schickley and his fiancé, Jenna Darrup of Marion Heights; two daughters, Beth Gensemer and her husband, Greg of Kulpmont, and Molly Schickley of Lewisburg; three grandsons, Jackson Gensemer, Caleb Gensemer, and Embry Gensemer; a granddaughter, Sophia Schickley; a sister, Marsha Fisher of FL; two brothers-in-law, Robert Idacavage, and Lee Sieklicki and his wife, Linda; two sisters-in-law, Judy Kalinowski, and Susan Klemick and her husband George; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Leon and Mary (Madl) Sieklicki; a sister, Karen Compello Idacavage; two brothers-in-law, Michael Fisher, and Ronald Sieklicki; an Aunt, Lorraine Zimmerman and her husband, Jack; and her four-legged best friend, Cozmo.

Lynne Schickley, 65, of 1106 Poplar Street, Kulpmont – Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-C.J.
