Kulpmont – Lorraine Homski, 91, of 123 Virginia Lane, DenMar Gardens, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Shamokin on June 28, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Josephine (Perles) Duran. She graduated from Coal Township High School in 1947.
On June 25, 1949 she married Alexander “Red” Homski, who preceded her in death. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church. She worked at Shroyers Dress Factory as a seamstress. She was a lifelong resident of Springfield until moving to Lincoln Towers in 2006.
Lorraine loved spending summers at Wildwood with her family. She loved visiting Atlantic City with her husband and friends. . Lorraine realized later in life that she loved the Phillies, Eagles and college football. Her greatest joy though came when spending time with her family. She loved her girls and grandchildren but her great grandchildren made her life complete. GiGi will be greatly missed by all.
Lorraine is survived by two daughters, Sharon Yasenchak and her husband, Vincent of Kulpmont, and Kathleen Oris and her husband, Joseph of VA; one granddaughter, Heather Yagodzinskie and her husband, Chris of Kulpmont; three grandsons, Vincent Yasenchak and his wife, Casey of Ambler, Damien Oris and his wife, Megan of VA, and Nicholas Oris and his wife, Danie of MN; two great granddaughters, Emme Yagodzinskie, and June Yasenchak; four great grandsons, Drew Yagodzinskie, Nash Yasenchak, Brennan Oris, and Elijah Oris; a sister-in-law, Irene Homski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra; a brother, Robert Duran; and many brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

Lorraine Homski, 91, of 123 Virginia Lane, Kulpmont – Graveside services will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:30 am with Father Martin Kobos, officiating at St. Michaels Cemetery. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut St., Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
