Josephine M (Coroniti) Brennan

MOUNT CARMEL – Josephine M. Brennan, 83, of 193 Greco Lane, passed away on March 31, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Shamokin on July 25, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cassary) Coroniti. She graduated from St. Edwards High School in 1955.

She married Richard Brennan who preceded her in death. She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church in Shamokin.

Josephine is survived by two sons, Richard Brennan of Danville, and Robert Brennan and his wife, Vickie of VA; a daughter, Kathryn McCarty of Danville; five grandsons, Colby McCarty, Michael McCarty, Timothy Mekosh and his wife, Becca, Jason Brennan, and Brian Brennan; three great grandsons, Andrew Mekosh, Mason Mekosh, and Justin Brennan; a great granddaughter, Madison Mekosh; three sisters, Rose Fairweather and her husband, Joseph of Shamokin, Liz Reck of VA, and Constance Karpinski; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was preceded in death by a mother-in-law, Cora Brennan; two sisters, Catherine Buzzie and her husband, Thomas, and Anna Garancoski; a brother, Anthony Coroniti; and three brothers-in-law, Frank Reck, Leon Karpinski, and George Zablosky.
