John C. Nolan

Shamokin ­– John C. Nolan, 66, of 604 Hillside Ave, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania on April 11, 1957 to the late John and Margaret (Stalcoskie) Nolan. He attended Shamokin Area Schools. He served in the United States Air Force.

He worked at Roadway, and Universal Forest Products. He was a member of the St. Francis Home Association, and the Shamokin VFW.

John is survived by four siblings, Sallyann Biedrzycki and her husband, Mark of Shamokin, Mary Nolan and her husband, Edward Condron of Trevorton, Blendine Ozorowski and her husband, Greg of Norristown, and Robert Nolan and his wife, Joyce of Coal Township; Daughter, Samantha Schuetrum and her husband, Rich of Georgia; four nephews, Dennis Hendricks and his wife, Maria of Shamokin, Christopher Ozorowski and his wife, Janelle of Philadelphia, Nicholas Ozorowski of Philadelphia, and Ryan Nolan of Coal Township; two nieces, Angie Williams of NC, and Laura DiCicco and her husband, John Peter of Aubrun; and many great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Nolan; and his partner, Betty Kleman.

John C. Nolan, 66, of 604 Hillside Ave, Shamokin – Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 11:00 am at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service.
