John E. Davis

Coal Township – John E. Davis, 67, of 1246 W. Arch Street, Apt. B, passed away in his home on Friday, February 22, 2019.

Born in Shamokin on October 23, 1951, he was he son of the late John Edward and Margaret L. (Treon) Davis. He graduated Shamokin Area High School in 1969. He was a member of the Navy.

John is survived by two sons, Shawn Davis and Brad Davis; four sisters, Margaret A. Hoffman and her husband John of Mount Carmel, Sharon Stania and her husband Walter of Shamokin, Sally Swaldi of Mount Carmel, and Doris Kalinowski and her husband Andrew of Coal Township; one brother, Edward Dobrzyn and his wife Chris of TX. Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Wojciechowski and her husband Ben; and a brother-in-law, Robert Swaldi.
