Joel J Jones

Coal Township – Joel J. Jones, 73, of Mountain View Manor, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022.

Born on November 26, 1948 in Shamokin he was the son of the late Forrest and Yvonne (McDonald) Jones. He graduated from Coal Township High School. He walked everywhere he went, he never drove. He was a member of Fairview Ambulance. He was a dispatcher for Coal Township Police Department.

Joel is survived by a sister, Jan Koch and her husband, Darrol of Coal Township; and two brothers, Forrest Jones and his wife, Karen of Nanty Glow, and Noel Jones and his wife, Victoria of Lech Hill; Brother-in-law, Frank DeFrancesco of Kulpmont; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne DeFrancesco.
