Coal Township - Jeanette A (Nacinovich) Johnson, 86, of 1200 West Montgomery Street, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Hospital.
Born in Shamokin on July 13, 1935 she was the daughter of the late John and Amelia (Reprich) Nacinovich.
On June 29, 1957 at St Joseph’s Church, now Our Lady of Hope, Jeannette married William E Johnson, who preceded her in death.
Jeanette worked as seamstress for many years at Shroyers Dress Company. She also was employed at Springfield Sports and Scot’s Deli.
Jeanette was a member of Our Lady of Hope.
Jeanette is survived by a brother, John Nacinovich. In addition to her husband and parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Miller, Mary Czech, Virginia Marcinick, and Amelia Sobotor; and a brother, Joseph Nacinovich.
She is also survived by three generations of nieces and nephews and held a very special place in many hearts. While Jeanette did not have children of her own, she was a mother to many. Family was always the most important thing in her life. She loved to cook and welcome friends and family to her home. Jeanette touched the world with her kindness.

Jeanette A. Johnson, 86, of Coal Township- Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Hope, 863 W Chestnut Street, Coal Township. Viewing will be held from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
