Danville- Hoo Soo Hoyer, 87, of 264 Gotschal Road, passed away Saturday, May 11 ,2024 with her family by her side.
Born in Kong Ju Kun Chung Nam, Seoul, Korea, on August 9, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Park Chung Nam. Hoo Soo attended school in Seoul, Korea.
In Korea, on June, 1936, she married William Hoyer, who preceded her in death.
Hoo Soo was an auxiliary member of Eastern Star.
Hoo Soo is survived by two daughters, Katie Krum and her husband, Timothy of Danville, and Judy Deroba and her husband, William of Trevorton; a son, Bruce Hoyer and his companion, Joan Conley of Virginia; five grandsons, Jonathan Deroba and his wife, Julie, Aaron Deroba and his wife, Teresa, Nicholas Griffiths and his wife, Julissa, Tyler Griffiths, and Jared Krum; two granddaughters, Amanda Palmer and her husband, Jeff, and Tiana Cruz and her husband Antonio; three great grandsons, Elias Cruz, Gavin Griffiths, Cole Palmer; and eight great granddaughters, Keira Cruz, Corinne Deroba, Olivia Deroba, Avery Deroba, Quinn Deroba, Alexis Palmer, Kenley Griffiths, and Kendra Hoyer. In addition to her husband and parents, Hoo Soo was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Griffiths; and two grandsons, William Roy Hoyer and Bruce Lee Hoyer.
