Dorothy E. (Davies) Clark

Mount Carmel – Dorothy E. Clark, 96, of Mount Carmel Senior Living Community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Born in Shenandoah, PA on February 20, 1928, she was the daughter of Ivor and Dorothy (Hall) Davies.

She graduated from Shamokin High School in 1945, then she married Glenn Parks in 1947 and lived in Florida until he was hired by Pan American Airways and moved to New York briefly until moving to New Jersey. In 1960, they moved to Shamokin.

Dorothy was a member of Eastern Star, Elks Bowling Leage, and Indian Hills Golf and Tennis Club. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Shamokin, where she was a long time member of the choir. Dorothy was employed at Northumberland County Vocational School as a secretary for many years working her way up to main board secretary until her retirement in 1993.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Davis and her husband, Chet of Paxinos; and a grandson, Brian Swank of Shamokin. She was preceded in death by her son, Glenn L. Parks and her brother, Ivor Davies Jr.
