Danny Cruse

Shamokin – Danny Allen Cruse, 56, of 170 E Dewart Street, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home.

Born in Memphis, TN on July 30, 1964 he was the son of George and Mary (Cross) Cruse, who survive. He moved to Los Angeles CA with his parents December of 1964.  He graduated from Upland High School in 1982.

On April 21, 2007 in Mount Carmel he married Amy Derck, who survives.

In addition to his wife and parents, Danny is survived by three sons, Jordan Cruse of Shamokin, Nathan Cruse of Orefield, and James Long; a daughter, Shontaya Long Peterson and her husband, Terry of CA; a grandson, Jeremiah Peterson; two sisters, Deana and Danette Cruse; a niece, Danielle Harris; a nephew, TJ Harris; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Kevin and Lisa Derck of Coal Township; three brother-in-laws, Andrew Derck and his wife, Nicole, Aaron Derck and his girlfriend Cheyenne and their daughter, Layla; and Adam Derck and his fiancé, Haley; also many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Danny Allen Cruse, 56, of 170 E Dewart Street, Shamokin – Funeral services will held Friday, June 11, 2021 at 8:00 PM at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut St., Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held prior the service from 6:00 pm – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut St., Shamokin, PA, 17872 to defray funeral costs.
