Brenda M. (Sponenberg) Vallati

Shamokin – Brenda M. Vallati, 63, of 4664 Upper Road, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her home.

Born in Lebanon on October 27, 1959 to the late Robert and Elevina (Ulrich) Sponenberg Sr. She attended Palmyra High School.

On January 2, 1992 in Maryland, she married Harvey Vallati Jr, who preceded her in death on October 22, 2021. Together they shared 29 years of marriage.

Brenda is survived by a daughter, Angelina Zakareskie and her husband, Eric of Shamokin; two sons, Travis Vallati and his wife, Hope of Mount Carmel, and Matthew Vallati and his wife, Jamie of Shamokin; two granddaughters, Aleena Zakareskie and Hailee Vallati; three grandsons, Eric Zakareskie, Jr., Trevor Vallati, and Tyson Vallati; three sisters, Barbara Weaber of Hershey, Debra Keener of Lebanon, and Mary Lou Meily and her husband, Robert of Lebanon; three brothers, Robert Sponenberg, Jr., and his wife, Kay of Lebanon, John Sponenberg and his wife, Bette of Palmyra, and Richard Sponenberg and his wife, Bonnie of Lebanon; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Vallati; two sisters, Eva Schick and her husband, William, and Doris Wolfe and her husband, Edward; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Weaber Sr, and Benjamin Keener.
