Beverley J. (Landthaler) Linsky

April 30, 1944 — August 1, 2024

Coal Township

Coal Township – Beverley J. Linsky, 80, of 2052 Trevorton Road, passed away August 1, 2024 at Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Beverley was born on April 30, 1944, the only child born to the late Russell Gardner and Ruth (Powell) Landthaler.  Her parents divorced early, and she was raised by her mother in Milltown, NJ.  They lived with her grandparents, aunt and uncle and she often shared stories of difficult times but included the love she felt for her Nanny.

In 1953, her mother married Kenneth Landthaler and her life forever changed. Although Ken was her step-father, she referred to him as "Dad" for the type of relationship they shared.   He worked hard to provide for his family and they settled in Highland Park.

In 1962, Beverley graduated from Highland Park High School. She was awarded Certificates of Honor for Shorthand and Typing by Drake College and was offered a secretarial position at Rutgers University upon graduation.  She worked at the University library for four years until she moved to the business sector. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Squibb, where she met her future husband, Bruce Linsky

The couple married in 1970 and had three children together, Kara, Ryan and Katie. They divorced in 2004.

Bevereley was a stay-at-home mom, who always made her children top priority.  She volunteered as a Brownie Troop Leader, was an active PTA member and was always brainstorming new fundraising or project ideas.

When her children became older, she worked as a lecturer for Lean Line Inc., a weight reduction company, and eventually became a Supervisor. During this time, she marketed new ideas to company owners which promoted company growth and increased profits.  She developed the concept of "Closed Groups", coupon books, "5:15 Groups", conducted seminars, promoted and sold products, conducted surveys for franchise writing and participated in fashion shows.  After several years, Beverely recognized that she enjoyed sales and pursued a career in real estate.

Beverley began as a realtor at Winhold Realty, a small privately owned business.  Once established, she caught the attention of realty chain owner, Jim Weichert, who personally recruited her with the enticement of a sign on bonus.  She was happy at her new office, but always striving to be better, she joined RE/MAX Realty, that was known for its excellence in the business.   Bevereley earned numerous award throughout her career and was well known in the industry.

Beverley moved to Northumberland County, PA in 2004, to enjoy her retirement and to be closer to her children.

She was active in the community throughout her lifetime as a Rotary member, Relay For Life volunteer, All Home Days volunteer, American Cancer Society volunteer and offered a hand wherever needed. She was a member of Queen of Most Holy Rosary. She enjoyed reading Danielle Steele books, knitting, spending time at McDonalds with her friends and spending time with her family.

Beverley is survived by two daughters, Kara Kearney and her husband, Kevin of Paxinos, and Kathleen Crisp and her husband, Joshua of Nazareth; a son, Ryan Linsky of Westfiel NJ; and seven grandchildren, Megan, Alexa, Nate, Brinley, Coby, Torren, and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
