Barry R Gedney, Jr.

Locust Gap – Barry R. Gedney Jr., 55, of 232 Main Street, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born in Silver Spring, Maryland on September 7, 1965 he was the son of the late Barry and Diane (Daniels) Gedney, Sr. He attended schools in North Schuylkill and Ringtown, where he grew up. He worked as a Steel Worker at Goulds Pumps.

Barry is survived by his companion, Gloria Milanese; a son, Jared Gedney and his wife, Kayla of Shamokin; a daughter, Holly Kacyon and her husband, Blake of Berwick; his children’s mother, Tammy Gedney; a step-son, Randy Swank and his wife, Janelle of Elysburg; four grandsons, Zavier Swank, Remington Gedney, Louden Gedney, Miles Kacyon; two granddaughters, Zoe Swank, and Lyra Kacyon; a brother, John Daniel Gedney and his companion, Tammy Cooney; two sisters, Christy Rainis and her husband, Mark, and Misty Gedney; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by a sister, Heather Gedney-Diley.
