Barbara Ann Snyder

Shamokin – Barbara Ann Snyder, 70, of Shamokin, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, with her dog Abbie by her side at her brother's house in East Berlin, PA.  She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and started chemo treatment on March 7, 2024 after a colonoscopy exam on February 24, 2024.

She was born in Shamokin on December 19, 1953 the daughter of the late Robert Dorsey and Mary Ellen (Williams) Snyder. She graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 1971. She worked as a home helper for her parents, and a bookkeeper for Joseph Povleski Painting Contractor, and Cluett Peabody (Arrow Shirt) in Elysburg for a short period of time.

Barbara is survived by a brother, Thomas A. Snyder, 72, of East Berlin, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts uncles and cousins.

Barbara Ann Snyder, 70, of Shamokin – Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 at 11:00 am with Pastor David Butler, officiating at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Pennsylvania, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will be held following the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township.
