Halifax – Albert H. “Buster” Frye, 71, of 1303 S. River Road, passed away, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill.
Born in Danville on December 14, 1951 to the late Henry and Stella (Marshalick) Frye. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School in 1969. He served as a United States Marine, and worked in New Cumberland at the Army Depot.
On November 2, 1985 he married Laura V. Schrader, who survives.
Albert was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mount Carmel. He was also a member of The National Rifle Association (NRA), The American Legion Post 0340 of Duncannon, Union County Sportsmen’s Club, Inc., Enola Sportsmen’s Association, Duncannon Sportsmen’s Association, Inc., The Independence Fire Company of Shamokin, Fairview Sportsmen’s Association, Millersburg Gun & Conservation Club, and Pennsylvania Sheriff’s Association.
Albert had many hobbies including; hunting, archery, fishing, building things, tending to his vegetable garden, cooking, planting and spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved telling jokes, spending time at Mike & Tom Brown’s Machine Shop, and repairing a piece of equipment at Ed and Becky’s house.
In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by a sister, Cheryl Frye of Shamokin; six brothers-in-law, George D. Schrader and his wife, Bonnie of Elysburg, Henry Schrader and his wife, Marie of Coal Township, Wesley Schrader and his wife, Diane of Coal Township, Lawton Schrader of Coal Township, Ronald Schrader of Coal Township, Robert Campbell of Shamokin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George W. and Virginia (Williams) Schrader; sister-in-law, Rosanne Campbell; and a brother-in-law, John Robert Schrader and his wife, Becky.

Albert H. Frye, 71, of 1303 S. River Road, Halifax – Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 am with Reverend Joan Brown, officiating at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in the evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
